They slept pretty well last night- although Cameron woke up at 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30, when he decided he wasn’t going back to sleep. They are such happy babies when they wake up- I go in and there they are, just smiling at me. Now that they go to bed at 8 pm, by the time the morning rolls around I haven’t seen them in a while so I miss them and I can’t wait to snatch them out of their cribs!
The afternoon nap didn’t go so well for Ben.. or me for that matter. I heard him cry on the monitor- he sounded totally awake, so I went in and as soon as he saw me, he smiled and laughed.. He only slept for like 20 minutes, so I thought maybe we could sit in the glider in their room and rock for a few minutes and maybe he’d settle back down. So we sit, I have his head on my shoulder, and I hear him cough a little. A cough from a baby strikes a little panic in my heart, so I hold him in front of me so I can see his face and see if it was just a nothing cough, or if he looks like he’s getting sick… and I hear this gurgly liquidy sound come from his belly… you know what I’m about to say- I knew what was coming but I only had about one second to come up with a plan- I know he’s about to vomit- and we’re in the chair, so I hold him facing me leaning forward so he doesn’t choke and just let him do it all over my shirt(actually I was wearing Todd’s shirt hehe), trying to keep it from getting on the chair or the floor. Afterwards, as usual, he looks at me and smiles like- “ha ha that was funny!” Not a drop on his clothes:) Sorry, I know that’s a gross story. But its just another page in the book of life with triplets.
