The kids are down for their morning nap! I have bottles to clean, laundry to fold, vaccuuming to do- but I thought I’d procrastinate a little first. I found the original post that I made about the kids- so here’s part of it anyway.
Lily- my little princess- born first, seemingly always in control, rarely getting upset unless she’s overtired. Most likely to make you work hard and look really foolish to get a smile- but when you do- its so worth it. I have no doubts that this little girl will hold her own without a problem with her two brothers. She doesn’t cry much so when she plays this card she gets results:)
And here’s Ben- he came out with a nice tan for some reason, which he maintains without actually being exposed to the sun. While definitely the “squeaky wheel” of the three, he’s also the smiliest. He loves to smile and laugh, and has the best dimples, which he gets from his “pop” (my dad) who he resembles more than anyone. When he wakes up yelling in the middle of the night and I go in to check on him, he looks up and smiles as if to say “THERE you are! Where have you been?” Then he laughs because he made me walk all the way across the house for no reason:) He’s the most active of the three too- I think he’s going to keep us on our toes more than the other two too. Yikes.
And last, my darling baby C, Cameron. Just the sweetest little angel I’ve ever seen. Likes: grabbing his feet, sweet potatoes, and musical turtles. Dislikes: having his clothes changed, going down for naps and having to eat peas. You should see the looks he gives me- like I just tried make him eat pond scum. How a face that sweet can become so disdainful is beyond me. I think he’s going to be a mommy’s boy, he just wants to be held.
So Lily actually broke her spoon-feeding strike a little this morning. I figured if I just held the spoon by her mouth, eventually she’d have to open up. It worked. She ate some pears with cereal. I have to mix it in directly with the fruit to get her to eat cereal. I don’t blame her- that stuff is BLAND! If I mix it separately (which I did in the beginning) and do a half spoon of fruit and half spoon of cereal- they can somehow keep the fruit in their mouths and spit out the cereal half.
I’m sitting here listening to the monitor and it sounds like Lily is doing WWF moves in her crib. She scrunches up her legs, then shoots them out in an explosive manner, whacking them on the mattress. I think this is how she winds down:) Ok laundry time
