Well- another big first yesterday- The babies took their first dip in a pool. Overall, they did great especially considering the water wasn’t quite as warm as I would have liked. It’s wasn’t cold, but could have been warmer. Lily and Cameron didn’t bat an eye getting in, and just laid back and relaxed in their little floaties, while Ben, well… got a little screamy. He’s very sensitive of cool water, even in the bathtub. I did hold him for a while in the water and he just laid his head on my shoulder and looked around calmly, but he didn’t want to get in the baby float, which was fine because we only have two and Cameron and Lily liked them. Of course it was very nice having mom there too to hold a baby: swimming is kind of a 1:1 ratio activity.
The last picture is Ben in our new Jeep Liberty walker. (Just like mommy used to drive! Except mine wasn’t made of green plastic.) He loves to honk the horn with his tongue! If you notice Ben is without clothes in more and more pictures, its because I’ve decided he only gets one replacement set of clothes per meal, per day. After that, its naked time. Last night after his dinner, before bed, he got me good. I was head to toe formula and applesauce. And it was so nice having mom, dad and Todd there to enjoy the scene:) Really, it was nice, because I was incapacitated for a few minutes and had to go directly to the shower, so they took over and got the babies in their jammies for bed.
The back room of our house is looking more and more like a nursery school.. we are soon to purchase the “fence” to keep them corraled in one area back there. Hopefully we can keep most of the baby stuff contained in one area:)
Well, the babies continue to roll around.. but no crawling yet, and no siiting up on their own. I think Ben will be the first, then Lily, then Cameron- Cameron is just pretty content to lay there and look at his surroundings. He’s the thinker of the group.
OK, well, babies are stirring (its too early!) so I’m going to get breakfast ready! Who wants bananas?
