Well, I took a really cute picture of Ben this morning, but right after, my camera batteries died. We are officially out of batteries, and I don’t know when I’m getting to the store next so, no new pictures until then. I swear I go through at least 6 AA batteries a week with that camera. Its ridiculous.
So, here’s a little update on all 3:
Lily: still 2 teeth, no more impending tooth arrivals for now. She is becoming more and more of an independent eater; she prefers to feed herself, whether its table food or not. If a spoon comes near, she is likely to smack it (at the last second, right before it goes into her mouth, she somehow develops major hand-eye coordination) and splatter the food all over, then run her hands through it, and rub it on her face. But she’s GREAT with table food, she’ll sit there and pick away until its gone- she eats blueberries, cheese, watermelon, grilled cheese (bits) carrots, and arrowroot cookies. She’s standing great, she now tries to let go of whatever she’s holding onto. And, she still hates to be put down. My little drama queen will cry like you have broken her heart every time. Like Cameron, she also loves to take her diaper off.
Ben: The little ham. Everyone who sees him gets such a kick out of the faces he makes, his infectious, dimply smile, and his silly giggle. He’s got his bottom 2 teeth, and one more is coming in on top. He wants to go, go, go. His infatuation of the dog’s metal bowl led me to purchase a little mini bowl for him, which he loves to play with. He also is great at standing, and he really likes climbing as well. He always comes up and climbs in my lap when I’m trying to change someone else’s diaper. The frustrating thing about Ben is that he sleeps the least, but this also gives us more time together, so really, I can’t complain. I have to sequester him into the other bedroom sometimes to keep him from waking up his brother and sister (he actually sleeps better in there, but I don’t want to really separate them). All the babies love Peek-a-Boo. I sit them on one side of the couch, and I go on the other side and pop up in different spots behind the couch.. and they all crack up. I love it. He has said ‘mama’ a couple times, I think.
Cameron: My sweet little laid back boy. He is making progress with the crawling. I’m not sure whether to call what he does “creeping” or army crawling, but he gets where he wants to go, especially if you put a watch or paci in front of him, out of his reach. He has 2 bottom teeth, and both top teeth are coming in now too. He’s just so good. He goes right to sleep any time I put him in his crib, he puts up with his siblings using him as a human jungle gym, usually laughing all the while, and he eats pretty much whatever I put in front of him (except cheese!) I try and snuggle him extra, because I know he demands less attention than the other two. He’s a sweet, smiley, lovable little guy.
