No new pictures, as the batteries have been dead in my camera for a couple days and we are out of new ones for the moment. But here’s a nother little peek at how big they’ve gotten. They used to be able to share the swing, but not anymore:) We don’t use it very much these days but its good for a quick distraction if necessary.
We had a visit from our developmental therapist this morning. Debra will come monthly, or whenever I have a concern, at no cost. I figure this is a free service, and as long as they are willing to continue to see us, I like having it. It’s not that I’m overly concerned about their development but it’s nice to know that they are in the normal range of skill development. We talked about Cameron, and she confirmed what I’ve suspected: he’s a laid back little boy that has figured out that rolling & spinning is easier than crawling. Hence, his muscle tone in his core muscles is not as great as it could be, so we just need to try to stimulate and motivate him to move more. Which is difficult when you are chasing after 2 crawlers, but we’ll work on it. Basically, Lily and Ben are on par with normal 9 month-olds, where as when it comes to physical development, Cameron is more in line with his adjusted age of 8 months(or 7 months, 3 weeks). No big deal, we’ll work on it and catch him up.
I am thinking its also time to get these guys off the podee bottles. They have been a lifesaver, but I want them to start holding their own bottles and learn to use the sippy cups. Its going to be wierd for them becasue its been a long time since they drank anything the old fashioned way.
I finally ran out of disposable wipes.. so we’ve switched to cloth wipes now to go along with the cloth diapers. I just cut up a bunch of Todd’s old undershirts, and put them in wipes boxes with some water and a little baby wash. Of course, its a little less convenient but again, will save us money so its worth it. That’s all for today:)
