My little Cameron finally crawled this morning! Very slow, tentative strides but real crawling finally, not just the army stuff. It was right at naptime so I had to put him down but I wanted to keep working with him. It’s tough with Ben and Lily so active, they don’t let me get a lot done; if I’m in their little enclosure, they are crawling into my lap, pulling up on me, grabbing my ponytail. So its tough to really work with Cameron, but he is definitely making some good progress nonetheless. I can’t wait till he catches up to his brother and sister and can fend them off a little better when they steamroll him:) See the below picture from yesterday, where Ben has overturned the Elmo chair onto Cameron, who happily sits right there until someone frees him.
We got a visit from another good friend of ours, Christi! We used to work together at the golf course and now she lives in South Florida, way too far away. She helped me with baths which was very nice to have help with! And let me just say that Cameron was nothing short of in LOVE with Miss Christi! He was instantly laughing and squealing and smiling at her like I have never seen:)
Last night as I was about to put the babies in bed I randomly remembered their Mets hats that some very nice friends gave us for the babies, and thought they might fit now, so I had a little impromptu photo session with the babies in hopes of getting a good picture.. Not so much:) I think maybe Ben may be a Mets fan, partly because he always throws up on his Yankees shirt, and partly because he was the only one who kept the hat on long enough to let me get a picture, but Lily and Cameron were not having it. As long as they don’t become Red Sox fans, we’re ok.
I also came to the conclusion last night that the Bumbos are offically obsolete for us. Now that they can sit up and crawl on their own, they have no desire to be restrained!
