Ok, I admit, I didn’t take this picture.. I’m out of batteries again. This is Winnie Palmer Hospital, where I had the babies. I was driving today to drop off a stroller to another mom, and went by the one place in Orlando that I will definitely never forget. I don’t get up this way very often (or any way for that matter) so when I drive by the hospital, which you can see clearly from the interstate, I am just mesmerized, remembering what a crazy experience that was. Going in for a doctors appointment, finding out I was being admitted for 24 hours, then finding out I was staying until I delivered.. Watching the movie “Because of Winn-Dixie” because I heard Dave Matthews was in it.. Todd, sleeping on the little murphy bed next me every night, wearing 3 sweatshirts to bed because I kept the room so cold..what a trooper. Oh, yeah and having triplets there.. it was all very surreal. 3 tiny little, perfect babies that stayed in the hospital for 6 days and then came home and changed our lives forever. For the better. They are just so amazing.
Today we let them “free” in the main room of the house since Todd and I were both available to chase and they were absolutely hysterical… Lily and Cameron would see each other and sort of lock eyes, squealing and giggling and crawl towards each other, then stop and laugh when they reached each other, then continue on their way until they bumped into someone else, then turn around and do it again. Ben did the same for a while but he’s more interested in finding things to get into or climb.
We also took them swimming today too- Lily loves the water so much now, she just squeals happily the whole time and kicks her legs and splashes, its adorable. The boys like it too, but not as much as she does.
They ate a real chicken dinner tonight too.. I made chicken with cinnamon applesauce in the crockpot so it would be super soft, then I just cut it up and they ate it like crazy, even Cameron who has decided he only likes waffles, puffs and grilled cheese. (Maybe I don’t have to make them pureed chicken anymore?) When they were done eating, they used the leftover applesauce to style their hair. Very resourceful, my babies.
As far as the Cameron-fever teething thing, he’s been fever free for a few days now. Still a little crabby at times, and the last 4 nights he keeps waking up around ten, crying. The first few nights it took a long time to get him back to sleep but now it just takes a minute. Its still not like him, I wonder if he’s doing it out of habit now or if his teeth are bothering him. I hope this teething stuff passes soon…
