“Now that I have your attention..”
I had the kids sitting nicely for a second, right in my lap, and in the time it took to push the button Lily jumped up in the frame:) Silly girl…
Well, Cameron’s still got a fever. He woke up a few times last night, and this morning he woke at 5:30, feeling really hot, and his temp was 101.4, so I waited till the doctor’s office opened at 8, called, and they had us in at 9:40. Yes, I had to bring all 3 because Todd was working, but luckily since the office is close to his work he was able to get out for a little bit and watch Lily and Ben in the doctor’s office while I went in with Cameron.
It appears that he has some sort of virus, but it should be on its way out now since this is day 3 of fever. His ears looked fine, his lungs sounded good, but they said his throat looked a little red. They also said that he DOES have a couple more teeth close to coming out on the top, but teething fevers are not usually as high as 101, so there is definitely something else going on. The good thing is Ben and Lily are fine so far, and hopefully will stay that way… but I won’t be surprised if they come down with it too. In the meantime, it seems like a mild illness so I’m just going to be thankful for that. Tylenol seems to keep the fever from getting too high so we’re going to stick with that, and keep an eye on everybody.
Funny story from yesterday… (although not so funny yesterday) Todd spent the better part of the day fixing our closet shelves, which collapsed a few weeks ago. He got the shelves up again (reinforced with wood), put everything back and reorganized everything. I am sitting out back on the computer, and I hear him yelling. Todd almost never yells, for any reason, so my instant feeling is that something is really wrong, and of course I think it must be baby related. My stomach kind of dropped and I ran to the babies room- everything’s fine, they are sleeping. The yelling is coming from our closet; Todd’s in there holding up the shelves which are collapsing, again. He was really mad at the time, but I was so relieved it wasn’t a sick/hurt baby that it was slightly funny to me. I don’t care if the whole house falls down, as long as my little munchkins are safe!
