Lily, very serious
We went to a Christmas parade/festival today in Clermont.. it was ok, not super spectacular but always nice to hang out with our friends. Clermont is the one place in Florida that actually has some hills, so we got some exercise pushing our gigantic stollers up and down the hills. I didn’t take a ton of pictures..
And the lovely Christmas party I attended last night for my moms group.. remind me never to take the kids anywhere again without first verifying that the room capacity is appropriate for the number of people coming. You wouldn’t think that would be necessary, but apparently it is. I am really upset that I went to the trouble to get them all dressed up (which is not easy because Ben doesn’t like to get ANYTHING changed anymore, he screams and twists and kicks), load them and up everything we need in the car(also difficult, since Lily and Ben hate being put into their carseats..), including the stroller, drive 45 minutes (really an hour since it was rush hour), and I get there, of course there’s no room in the parking lot. I park around the corner, in front of a house, where the people come out to look at who is in front of their home, and what the heck is taking them so long. There’s so many people jammed into the little room, the temperature was probably 80 degrees. There was nowhere for me to sit and have the stroller next to me. Being that its a multiples group, you would think things like that would have been a consideration. I wanted to just turn right around and go home, but of course it was the kids dinnertime, so I fed them, outside, and then went home. Santa was there for pictures as well, but I was not about to wait in line in the sweatbox, I mean clubhouse. I was disappointed on so many levels last night. But, I learned a lesson about where I bring my kids. We are just not destined to get a good Santa picture this year…
On a happier note.. Lily walked about 6 steps today! She can get up to a stand now without having to pull herself up on anything. Ben is right behind her, as always, and Cameron is a couple steps behind him. He’s still perfecting his super-fast wiggly crawl.
