The babies had a long but mostly fun day today.. Their Gram and Pop are here visiting (actually they are really here to reposess our dog, but that’s a long, sad story) They got some really cute Hawaiian outfits, courtesy of Gram and Pop’s recent vacation, and I got some Kona coffee, which is bar none the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. (Although it doesn’t make up for the fact that my espresso machine broke after 4 uses. Anyway.) We had our 15-month appointment today, and the babies looked great. They definitely lost a little weight with the “plague” but their appetites have returned and they are all between 22.0-22.9 pounds, Lily being the heaviest as usual. And all between 30.25 and 30.75 inches. It was extremely nice having mom there to help at the appointment, and we switched to a new doctor at out practice that is SO much nicer and more thorough than the previous one. I was a little worried that Cameron’s not fully walking yet, but she assured me that as long as he is cruising and able to stand alone for a few seconds (which he is), then he is developmentally fine.
Actually, the last few days have been so much fun because I see the kids doing more and more fun things.. Lily is signing milk now, and waving and saying “hiiiiii”, Ben tries to say “dog”, which comes out “go” and “talks” on his phone “hey-ooo”, and Cameron is working on his walking like a champ.. he takes a few steps, falls to his knees and crawls to what he wants- I think he knows it just easier that way. He loves anything with wheels.
I went to pick up my fourth and final playzone today.. I have rearranged most of the furniture in the house now to fit our giant play area- but its sooo nice. The kids have so much room to play in there, they can play with push toys, and ride-on toys, and now I have the TV set up right in front of it so we can start to rot their brains properly. Just kidding. But seriously, it’s great. I just need about 12 more Step2 interlocking mats to complete the floor and my life will be complete.
In odd and random good news, I won concert tickets to Nickelback in April! I like to enter random contests from time to time, and this one was on a local radio station website where I just had to enter my email, and boom, I won. I won’t say I’m a gigantic Nickelback fan, but, I like them and its a free night out. I only hope I can find a babysitter so we can go!
