We had to go pick up some new playmats this afternoon, so after lunch we stopped in to the Animal Kingdom to go for a quick walk before running our errand. Check out this big gorilla! Usually they are just sitting in the back, half behind a tree, but this one was sitting up front, staring down the passers-by.
It felt like the gorilla could take 2 leaps and be over the fence.. I was a little nervous but I guess, it’s Disney right? There’s no way my kids could get eaten by a gorilla at the most magical place on earth.
As I stopped to ponder the possibilities of this sign, I was approached by an older gentleman.. “Triplets?”.
I said “Yup”.
He said “These are my triplets”- pointing to two girls and a boy, about 12 years old or so. I LOVE seeing older triplets. It reminds me that survival is a definite possibility.
I was compared today by several other park-goers to the octuplets lady.. She has really given a negative spin to moms of multiples. People think they know everything there is to know about multiples now from watching the news, and it’s just silly.
In other news.. the babies Uncle Kevin is coming to visit for a couple days tonight, and then my mom and dad will be here for a little while. This week we also have our 15 month checkup, so it will be nice to have some help at the doctor’s office.
In sad news, I am having issues with our cloth diapers. They get a horrible ammonia smell now when they are “used”, and it irriates the little bums so until I can get rid of the smell, I’m back to disposables. I have washed them over and over, and they seem clean at first but as soon as they get peed in they smell terrible. Supposedly this is because of buildup. I have one more thing to try, which is Bac-Out, which some say will solve the problem. I really hope it does. Although, I will not lie, using disposables is sooo much less work. Hopefully I will get back to my cloth soon though.
I am still working on my expansion project- we decided one more playzone would really make the kids play area a lot better, so I am going to pick up another one this week that I found on craigslist. I sold a chair that we didn’t need anymore this week on craigslist too. My goal is to finance the new play equipment by selling things we don’t use anymore. So far I’m a little upside down, but I’m still working on it:)
