I did not squander my entire naptime break this morning reading blogs, so that by the time the babies woke up, I was still sitting at the computer in my pajamas. Even though I have 47,000 things to do today. No way, not me. Furthermore, I did not let them wait a couple more minutes so I could run and take a 2.5 minute shower and throw some clean clothes on. And no, I didn’t throw clothes on that still resemble pajamas anyway.
I did not go to the Florida Aquarium, EPCOT, and New Smyrna Beach this week. Not me! My life is terribly boring and filled with nothing but laundry, toilet-scrubbing, and cooking.
I did not look in the refrigerator and realize that it’s no big deal that I missed the Farmer’s Market this Sunday, because I hardly used any of the veggies I’d bought last week. I did not lazily resort to the canned versions of everything I’d bought in an effort to save time. No way, not I!
That’s all the honesty I can handle for this week..
I realized I had not posted about my cloth diaper problem situation.. (If you haven’t read the original posts- I’ve had an issue with serious ammonia smell and irritation, causing me to go back to disposables for a while). On the suggestion of a helpful comment, I used boiling water to wash them and stripped them with Blue Dawn to get rid of buildup. It did help, and although they still have the ammonia smell a little, it’s much better. So, I am going to do it again, this time with more boiling water and the same amount of Dawn- I think using more was definitely key- I didn’t use enough the first few times I tried it. It’s sort of a big process to do the boiling water, dawn then all the rinsing necessary to get all the soap out so I need a good chunk of time to get it done. Hopefully, this will do the trick and I can go back to cloth full-time here soon.
