I can’t believe it’s Thursday.. I have been working on a big, and very exciting project and time has been flying by. I just have time for a quick post and then its time for dinner. We went for a late walk this afternoon so the kids didn’t get to nap until about 3:30- and they are still sleeping! Thanks guys, I appreciate that.
Before I do my Thanksgiving Thursday post, I wanted to mention something else I just stumbled upon.. a blog, actually written by a Dad! That’s so neat, because there just aren’t many that have blogs and it’s great to see another side of things. It’s called “halftime lessons” and I think you should go check it out. The author is, right now, hosting some major giveaways in the interest of charity; all the proceeds go to cancer research. The grand prize of his contest: he is SHAVING is head, and will shave the blog of the winner of the contest, use that for a grab button, which he will post on his site for 3 months. And this gentleman gets some traffic, so for those looking to increase their own, this is the way to do so while helping support an amazing cause. See this post for more…
(This is such a good way to get your spirits up and be reminded that, really, it’s not so bad. Actually, it’s pretty good.)
1. I’m thankful for the fact that my kids are 16 months old, and I have been able to stay home with them the entire time. I never thought I’d be a stay-at-home-mom but I can’t imagine it differently now, and I realize how truly lucky I am.
2. I’m thankful for GOMOTT. That’s right, GOMOTT. Even though they plan Christmas parties in places way too small for the number attending and accuse me of not paying my dues, I’m glad that I joined because it enabled me to meet some really cool friends, and some really cool things are going to come out of it that we never expected.
3. I’m thankful for the fact that my husband still has a job. These days, things aren’t looking good at Toyota, but luckily he does a great job there so.. so far, we’ve been safe.
Have a good Thursday (evening!
