I took the kiddos to an Easter Egg Hunt at the park today. We met our friends Shaun and Amanda, and Maria and her little cutie Gianna when we got there. After scouring for a parking spot, unloading the wagon and kids, and waiting in line, we were told that they didn’t have enough eggs to let everyone participate.. how sad is this empty little basket?
But, it wasn’t a total loss, because the kids did get to run around for a little while, and let’s be honest, they didn’t really understand what they were there for anyway. We did manage to get a couple cute pictures, sorta.
I’m not sure but if I had to guess I would say that our Easter Bunny was a teenager being punished for something. When it was our turn I asked him if he could hold three and he just shrugged. He didn’t really want to hold any so when they wiggled he just let go. I won’t hold it against him, though. It was awfully warm today, and I wasn’t even wearing a bunny costume.
I won’t complain anymore- we had a nice day with nice friends, and there are many more Easters to come for egg hunting. And next time, I’ll bring some backup eggs just in case!
