It was a great day today! It was Todd’s day off, so we got lots of things done and had a great time. I got to sleep in- which is always nice, then after lunch we headed out to the Track Shack, which is a specialty running store, so I could get some new running shoes.
On the way downtown, we passed Winnie Palmer off in the distance. Funny how the place where your kids are born just seems to jump out at you every time you drive by it!
After getting my new running shoes, we went for a walk on Park Avenue in Winter Park. In the 11 years I have lived down here, I had never been there, and it was SO beautiful and clean and quaint. Lots of sidewalk restaurants, art galleries, wine bars and shops. What a nice place to take a walk and window shop (since the stroller probably wouldn’t do well inside those establishments:)
We stopped and had lunch on the patio of Panera Bread, it was great!
After Winter Park, we did some grocery shopping. For the first time, we used one of the jumbo shopping carts that actually seats three kids. I was worried about Ben escaping but they all did really well- it was so nice to not have to bring in the stroller for once! The best part was how the kids all kept signing “eat” and “more” every time I put something in the cart!
Lily was hysterical tonight- I don’t know what got into her but she decided it was time to tackle her brother. She was chasing him all around, just trying to take him down. He thought it was funny too, so we just observed.. hmm, was that bad?
Can’t wait to try out my new shoes tomorrow!
