It seems that all 3 babies have a special talent for getting into mischief these days, and they all have their specific ways of doing it. I thought I’d jot it down so that in a few years when they ask me what happened to my hair, I can give them an exact reason why its completely grey and possibly falling out.
-If its up, it must come down. This applies to pictures on the wall, (if you happen to be walking down the hall carrying her- stay away from the walls or a little arm will reach ouht and snatch a frame before you even realize it), anything on a table, (she has go-go-gadget arms that manage to reach things that I THOUGHT I put in the center of said table), or anything on a couch.
-Ripping down vertical blinds is another favorite pastime. Actually, that one applies to all three.
-Can and will seek out any thread, speck of dirt, tiny piece of paper, leaf, or any other small debris and immediately put it in her mouth.
-Finds great fun in shaking the sippy cup upside down to get out whatever liquid is in it, make a puddle and then slap it and spray it all around.
-When sitting in the highchairs, Lily likes to free the boys by unclamping their highchair trays. I used to not use the straps because they couldn’t really get out, but I guess those days are over!
-Just call him the Great Ben-dini, because he can get out of almost anything. He can take his diaper off without disturbing his clothing, escape a playzone and a pack-n-play (I know the crib is next), and squirm right out of the stroller straps.
-All 3, but especially Ben, love to climb the couch, and then hop onto the coffee table and do a little stompy dance while smiling at me. Lovely. I’m thinking about removing all the tables in the living room.
-LOVES throwing food on the floor, as well as the sippy cup (although this again applies to all 3) He is the worst perpetrator of this crime.
-Toy theif. If someone has something he doesn’t he must take it. And run. He definitely makes Cameron cry the most because of this. Because he’s been walking longer, he’s faster than Cam and the poor little guy just toddles after Ben, whimpering and reaching for the stolen toy. When I return the toy to its rightful owner, Ben throws himself on the floor in protest. Awesome.
-One of our hallways is “gated” with a pack-n-play. He has figured out just how to push it to get a little room to sneak through. I don’t really like them to play in the kitchen due to the hard tile, and lots of things to get into and trip on… but he always finds a way. He also is starting to climb the gate that keeps them out of the other entryway to the kitchen.
-His crib must be kept away from the window on one edge of the crib, or he will pull the blinds down. It must also be kept away from the changing table on the other side, or he will take everything off the changing table (which I actually use to store some clothes since they are all too wiggly for the changing table anymore). Somehow, some way, the furniture tends to migrate at times and I will go in to find clothes or vertical blinds all over his crib.
-He’s still a little biter. I thought we were getting better, but I found some teethmarks on Lily yesterday that I didn’t even notice whenever it happened:( He really doesn’t seem to understand “no”.
-This is another that applies to all 3, but he loooooves dumping the balls out of the ball pit. I need to get a new tent to house the ball pit because that never happened until the tent was broken and had to be removed.
-Don’t make the mistake of leaving a tub of wipes around, because they will be removed one by one by Cameron, until it’s empty. Apparently, wipes are FUN.
We are headed to an Easter Egg Hung this afternoon, then to Magic Kingdom tomorrow! Lots of fun pictures to come!
