It’s another beautiful day in Florida, the kids slept till 8 this morning! That NEVER happens, but I bet it had something to do with the lack of afternoon nap yesterday, and the fun visit we had with our family at Disney’s Beach Club, where we swam in the pool. (I actually wore a bathing suit in public for the first time in several years. Todd and I used to giggle at the old ladies that wear suits with a little skirt/ruffle. I shouldn’t have laughed, because now I’m a full-fledged member of the Truffle Club) The kids really love the water, it’s so fun to see them laughing and splashing!
I have so much to do today! This house is totally disorganized, floors need to be mopped, baby clothes sorted, play area needs cleaning, the other blog needs some work, and I’d like to get out and talk a long walk today too. Oh, and I have decided to run a marathon next year and raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Since you have to raise quite a bit of money, I need to start soon. Basically, how it works is that you pick an event, and you have about 4-5 months to train and raise a certain amount of money. The catch is that after a certain point, you MUST raise that money, or it comes out of your pocket. Which seems scary to me, so in order to make sure I am able to raise it, I am starting NOW, for a race next January.
Another awesome thing about this is that I am doing the race with my best friend Christa! We have been friends since we met when I was a sophomore in high school. The crazy thing is that since college, we have never lived in the same city again. I still consider her one of the best friends I’ll ever have and so to be doing something like this with her is such a great way for us to reconnect while doing something we’ve always wanted to do, and best all, raise money for research which will save lives. How can I NOT do it? I also figure that announcing it here will really put me on the hook for it- can’t back out now:)
I have lots of cool ideas for raising money but the biggest challenge is going to be time management. I do sort of have 3 babies to take care of and a house to look after, and a website to run so its not going to be easy. I need to do a little regrouping and reorganizing.. but, I WILL make it happen! The webpage to learn more about Team In Training is here.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any new pictures at the moment to post. Here’s a little oldie for you! I want to say they were about 4 or 5 months old in this picture..
Have a great weekend:)
