Finally got to plant some seeds today! Todd spent most of the day outside mowing, tree-trimming, edging, etc, while I watched the kids, and then when he was done, I went out for a little while before dinner. The place I picked to plant seeds gets lots of sun, but unfortunately was covered in lots of mulch. Removing the mulch was really not much fun. But I got most of it out, put down some organic soil, mixed it all up and planted all kinds of seeds. I mostly followed the directions on the packages. Except for planting peppers in the wrong season. And maybe putting a few things too close together. I couldn’t help it. I figure if half of the seeds sprout up for me, I’ll be happy:) I also got some little containers to plant some seeds in and be able to keep indoors until they get bigger.. when I see which seeds didn’t work out for me, I can hopefully transplant the indoor plants in the vacant spots outside. Backup plants:)
*yes, I realize there is a giant Lily plant in the middle of my garden.. It’s been there for 4 years and I didn’t have the heart to try and move it! I don’t think it will survive if I try to.. So it’s gonna stay until I figure out what to do with it. Is it really necessary to move it?
