I definitely did not allow my kids to eat lollipops, french fries, and ice cream all in the same day after they got their haircuts! Oh my, what would the Supernanny say? (Don’t worry- I did throw in some chicken and vegetables!)
Likewise, I did not allow Benjamin to take his sneakers into the bathtub with him because trying to pry them from his hands would result in a meltdown. I would never indulge such behavior and just throw the shoes in the dryer later.
I did not justify buying cookies when I went grocery shopping last week, because Cameron happened to learn the word ‘cookie’, and I need to reinforce it by having them around. You know, so he doesn’t forget. Because a picture just will not cut it.
I did not tear up a little when I realized that I had left a 12 pack of soda on the bottom of the grocery cart at the end of the above-mentioned shopping trip. I almost never buy soda anymore so it was kind of a treat for us.
I did not forget it because I was too busy giving the stinkeye to the lady loading up the car next me, for shoving her cart in between my car and the one in front of it because she was too lazy to walk another ten feet and put it in the cart return area.
I did not have an in-person conversation with someone the other day for 15 minutes before I figured out who she was and how I knew her. I did not feel like a total idiot.
I did not have a great time at the beach yesterday with my MoM friends, sans babies. I do not plan on doing that at least once a month from now on!
*My new Switchflop did not get pooped on by seagull that had cheese doodles for lunch.
I did not mix up the Ground Red Pepper with the Ground Cinnamon while making French toast for the babies the other day. Luckily, I did not try it first and find out the hard (but preferable) way. That is it for this week… please say a prayer for Stellan, who is back in the hospital with SVT.
