That’s what I have right now. I have too much going on in my brain to sleep, so I’ll do a quick post since I probably won’t get to it tomorrow. I’m trying like crazy to promote my Blog For A Cure Blog Party, which is next week. I’m hoping that enough people will stop by and even just donate 1.00.. if 1,000 people did that, I would be in good shape! So far I have about 13 prizes and counting to give away next week to the participants, so I am pretty excited. Now, I just need people to “show up”. If you are so inclined, please help me spread the word! The post below has all the info you need and then some.
Now, for a little update on the family. After a year and a half of earning zero money, I am going to be going back to work! Just part time, one to two days a week, at the golf course that I worked at for 6-7 years before I had the babies. I won’t be going back in the same capacity as catering sales manager, (since they replaced me:), and I couldn’t work full time anyway), I’ll just be bartending, working banquets, maybe even a beverage cart shift every now and then. At one point I said to myself that I never, ever wanted to do any type of tipped position again, as long as I live… I was so tired of dealing with sweaty, snooty chauvanist pig golfers. But now I am pretty much excited out of my mind to get a day or two every week to get out of the house by myself, and actually make a little cash. Ah, how things change. I’ll also get to work with the girls that I use to see every day, but of course don’t get to see anymore now that I have little ones. It’s mostly the same crew, so I am happy to be able to be back with my old “family”.
There is a downside, and that is that I will be working on Todd’s days off.. all of them, at least until December when they are more staffed at the course. So, not a ton of family time, but, it’s just a sacrifice we’ll make for now. Overall, I think this is going to be a good thing for all of us. Now we can start thinking of what Christmas presents we want to get for the kids! Um, and birthday gifts.. sheesh. I think I have been blocking out the fact that their birthday is just around the corner. I refuse to believe that I am going to have 3 two-year-olds. That’s just can’t be.
I haven’t made any decisions about their birthday party, or Halloween costumes. I kind of don’t want a big thing for their birthday, so I’m thinking of just doing a playdate party, with some cupcakes and balloons, and a few friends. We’ll see.
And Halloween?? If it’s like last year, it will be about 95 degrees so I really want something lightweight.. there are a lot of things that I would love to dress them as, but would be too hot. For example, I would love to see them as Princess Leia, Yoda, and Luke Skywalker… but that would require wearing things on their heads, which wouldn’t work. I just don’t know.
Ben needs a haircut. Bad. One of these days we’ll make that happen. He still looks pretty cute though:)
Cameron is catching on with his siblings and has started saying “shoes”.. it’s adorable! Now, I really can’t wait until they start putting words together. “Shoe” is cute, but on the 37th time in 2 minutes, it’s slightly less cute.
I should probably try and go to sleep since I have to get up in a few hours.. and I have a work meeting tomorrow! Luckily it’s informal:) I’m bringing the kids, so it should be fun to show them off to all my old friends!
