So much to say, so little time.. I feel terrible about letting my blog slide, but life is really getting in the way these days. The days go by so fast, I’m not sure what day it is anymore. My mom and dad were just here visiting, and the kids had a great time hanging out with Gram and Pop.. we took them to eat at Rainforest Cafe, and they were actually pretty well behaved. I was prepared to stay out of restaurants with the kids for the next 2-3 years but it looks like we may not have to after all. They are at an amazing age- learning new things every day, and also learning new ways to drive us all half nuts at the same time. It’s really quite wonderful and maddening at the same time:)
As you can see from the photos, the kids got haircuts this week. Long overdue, maybe..and hopefully grandparents everywhere can breathe a sigh of relief that my kids no longer resemble Mowgli from Jungle Book.
Having an au pair is totally awesome and the best decision we have made in a long time. We have another income, a built-in babysitter, and a new member of our family. I’m working on a guest blog for twinsmagazine.com which will go into detail a little more about the experience so far. But it’s safe to say, we are happy with our decision and it has definitely made our lives better as a family.
Lots of fun stuff coming up in the next few months! Visits from family, and a wedding in the keys! I have been in wedding withdrawal for a while so this will be so exciting for us, and knowing we will have help with the kids will make it so much more fun. It will be our first real family vacation!
Hope you have a great weekend!
