It’s been a year since I started this project with Amanda, and though not many people in my daily life really “get” it, that’s ok, because I am pretty proud of what it has become. We now have over 1,000 followers, and are currently celebrating our first “blogiversary” (I really wish we had come up with a better word, but whatever). I have come in contact with some awesome people over the last year through this blog, and learned so much. I’ve interviewed authors, fellow MoMs, and experts in many different areas- who knew I would ever be interviewing people? To be randomly reading someone’s blog post, and see a comment from someone else saying “I found you from Multiples and More” just makes me happy. We are having a positive effect on other people, and that feels kinda good.
Soo, on that note, why don’t you congratulate me on my year of hard work and success by going over to Multiples and More, and entering all the awesome giveaways going on right now? I would appreciate it. Especially the SafetyTat giveaway. That one needs some love.
Things are pretty crazy busy here.. work is busy, lots of famil coming and going, and it’s almost time for us to go to a wedding! I can’t wait to see the kids semi-dressed up. (It’s a casual beachy wedding). There is one problem though. Lily really hates dresses. This is so unfair. Isn’t that supposed to be one of the perks of having a little girl? That I can dress her up like my own personal cupie doll? Apparently she has heard otherwise because she absolutely throws a fit when I try to put any dress, or even a long shirt on her. She doesn’t even like shirts without sleeves, it’s t-shirts or longsleeves, and that’s it. I have been trying to desensitize her by making her wear a longer shirt, and then distracting her for a few minutes, but sooner or later she looks down and remembers that she doesn’t like what she has on, and freaks out again. So unfair.
I can’t complain too much, as I really hate dresses too.. but I am sure I still wore them when I was her age. The really sad ting is that I have such beautiful dresses for her, just hanging forlornly in the closet. Wondering if they’ll ever get worn..
I don’t have any new photos of the kids because my camera battery has been dead for some time now, so I’ll show you a picture of the supercool tents I got for the kids to sleep in on vacation:
