Well, our Memorial Day weekend is kind of a big FAIL, but it ended ok, I s’pose. I had taken the weekend off for a couple reasons; our good friends, the Newells, were having their twins birthday party, and I also had a good friend in town visiting from LA that I really wanted to spend some time with. I had said before, we have been incredible lucky in the sickness department- we’ve only been sick a few times in the past year, and other than a stomach flu las t August, it was nothing major. The problem is, we only get sick right before we have a birthday party to go to. It drives me CRAZY. This time the bug proceeded in birth order. Friday, it began with Lily– mostly just a fever (102), a little runny nose, a little crabbiness and of course the need to be held at all times. Ben was sick Saturday, and Cameron got it this evening. Oh, and I got it too on Friday night. Good times. So, I didn’t get to see my friend for other than an hour on Friday night (after I had worked 13 hours and was super tired), and we didn’t get to go to the party. Today’s plans got screwed up as well– I was supposed to meet up with friends, with the kids at a Disney park, but said friends were unable to get up this morning so I ended up taking the kids to Hollywood Studios by myself for a little while. I was excited to see Lightning McQueen and Mater… but my daughter was not:
We only stayed about an hour, as it was extremely crowded and hot today.
After naptime today, we played outside for a while.. Ben shows off his signature goofy face:
Lily is a little water bug- not afraid to jump right in. I love our old-school sprinkler too, just as entertaining as the fancy ones for 4.99:)
Not too many pictures of Cameron, I think he was just starting to feel sick as we went outside so he didn’t participate much.. Lily tried to give him a hug but he wasn’t interested:(
This one is from the other day- we went back to the splash park again. I only got this picture before the camera battery died:)
And there you have it.
