We spent the afternoon at Downey Park, for an Au Pair Care picnic today. Unfortunately, we were one of only a few families that made it, but the kids definitely had a good time regardless of that. The park was nice and clean and had a great play area for kids. My friend Jo volunteered to help chase toddlers and came along with Ploy and I. (Big thank you to Jo!)
They actually sat for about 10 minutes, unrestrained.. a miracle!
I think Benny has a thing for Jo..
Even from the back, she’s cute! I love that she has to have a dress, and a skirt on.
On the potty training front, we are doing well. Lily is almost 100% potty trained, and is almost always dry when she wakes up from naps and in the morning, but the boys still have wet diapers when they wake up. Very few accidents, just one here and there.
In sad news, the kids seem to have their first colds of the year. Since it’s almost October, I’d say that is pretty good. They have had a few brief fevers over the past year, but this is the first real cold. It made me realize how lucky we are- we haven’t had to go to the doctor for a sickness in almost 18 months. I’m sure I totally just jinxed it too.
My computer is still being very weird. My files are still gone, I have yet to call the geek squad, and the setting are all wacky. I’m not happy about it, I really don’t have time for this! For example, right now as I am typing, the text is giant-size (think Jitterbug cell phone numbers) because the touchpad has some weird setting on it that makes me shrink and expand the screen size by do something, but I don’t know what, and I don’t know how to fix it. I have tried adjusting my touchpad settings but nothing I do fixes it. Sometimes after I close the window and reopen it, it will go back to normal. Sometimes not. Oh, and did I mention that all my files form the last year and a half are missing? Yeah. Still mostly blocking that out.
That’s it for now. Hope you had a great weekend:)
